Foreign Trade Policy: Import Export Code ("IEC")



✓ For the first time, filing of details relating to Import Export Code (IEC), is mandated.

✓ Among others key amendment is, as per new rules details of Import Export Code (IEC) mandatorily to be updated every year electronically during April-June quarter. 

✓ Confirmation to be filed every year mandatorily even in case of no change in the details.

Important Decisions taken by the Apex body of the ICSI in its 295 Meeting held on 24 March, 2023 : 1. Approved the increase in 'Entrance Fees (Application for Associate and Fellow Membership) from Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 3000/ w.e.f 01 April, 2023. 2. Accorded in-principle approval to formulate "ICSI Stewardship Code' for all Institutional Investors and Service Providers, encapsulating the best stewardship practices. 3. Approved the extension of the last date for obtaining mandatory CPE credits by the Members for the Year 2022-23. 4.
