Important decisions taken by apex body of Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Important Decisions taken by the Apex body of the ICSI in its 295 Meeting held on 24 March, 2023:

1. Approved the increase in 'Entrance Fees (Application for Associate and Fellow Membership) from Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 3000/ w.e.f 01 April, 2023.

2. Accorded in-principle approval to formulate "ICSI Stewardship Code' for all Institutional Investors and Service Providers, encapsulating the best stewardship practices.

3. Approved the extension of the last date for obtaining mandatory CPE credits by the Members for the Year 2022-23.

4. Approved the launch of 'Knowledge on Demand' on the LMS Portal of the Institute to provide the facility to view recorded sessions 'Anytime Anywhere' at a nominal fee.

5. Approved the following formats under various IFSCA Regulations for the benefit of the Company Secretaries in Practice:

(a) Compliance Certificate pursuant to Form B under the IFSCA (Insurance Intermediary) Regulations, 2021; (b) 'Certification of Compliance of Ceiling on Business from Single Cilent under Regulation 22 of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Insurance Intermediary) Regulations, 2021;

(c) 'Compliance Certificate' pursuant to requirement of Certification under the IFSCA (Registration of Insurance Business) Regulations, 2021: Form B (Application) by a Foreign Insurer or Foreign Re-insurer for grant of Certificate of Registration as an 110):

(d) 'Compliance Certificate' pursuant to requirement of Certification under IFSCA (Registration of Insurance Business) Regulations, 2021: Form C (Joint Application by an MGA and Foreign Insurer or Foreign Re-Insurer seeking grant of Certificate of Registration as an 110 under the IFSCA (Registration of Insurance Business) Regulations, 2021;

(e) 'Compliance Certificate" pursuant to Form B under the IFSCA (Insurance Web Aggregator) Regulations, 2022

6. Accorded in-principle approval for conducting centralized online and hybrid classes for the students of the Institute.
